Working with an RFIDler to read a token with unknown format

#1

I recently purchased an RFIDler to start playing around with RFID hacking.

I’ve managed to get it to read a token I have, but it doesn’t report the same UID as a commercial reader I have. I’m completely new to the RFIDler and RFID hacking in general, so I’m not quite sure what I’m doing, but I’m pretty sure I’m just reading this token in RAW mode, and the signal I’m picking up needs to go through some form of decoding, and then maybe even a handshake, before I get the real token UID.

Does anyone here have any experience with this stuff?

I’ve gone through the tutorials in the wiki and manged to generate plots of the raw signal, but it doesn’t look like anything they cover in the wiki.

And, unfortunately, it looks like the RFIDler project and community is dead, so finding support online is unlikely.

I guess I’m asking if anyone familiar with RFID hacking would have time to help me figure this thing out :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m hoping to get basic 125 khz reading and writing done for the next EMF so we can contribute to the next iteration of the RFID CTF game they had.
